Hello Shelly,

I'm sure there are much more qualified people whom can give you advice, but I will tell you what I do know. The world might tell you "Follow your heart", "Do what you want", or any number of things, but the fact is, sometimes our heart or emotions are not to be trusted. Getting into God's word is a must to counter our flesh. It is a huge part of combating what the world tells us. We need to get God's perspective on everyday things, as well as on huge things like this. And I know God desires for you to stay with your Husband. You made a commitment to Him, your kids, and even God.
I have seen families torn apart by a very similar scenario, and I honestly cannot see that it would happen any other way for you if you didn't fight for your marriage. So here is some advice broken down:

1. Get into the Word (Everyday for it to have the true impact it is meant to have)
2. Find a local church if you don't have one. Get plugged in there and seek Godly advice and accountability.
3. Find a good devotional to go through. One I recommend is the Love Dare, by Alex and Stephen Kendricks.

I hope this was helpful to you. Lastly, I want to remind you that God loves you so much! To do what is right will not be easy, but God is there to get you through it.

I will be praying for you.

In God's Love and Grace,

Colton

I need advice badly and helped. For many years, I have tried to be a good cristian. Helping others and following Jesus. I have admittedly been a big sinner too. But I have currently committed my biggest sin. Im married with children and my husband has been working away for 18 months. I visit him once a month. In that tiime my brother in law confessed he was in love with me. I fell in love back. We had planned to divorce our partners and marry each other. I have recently had a big moment of clarification. I want to turn back to God. I have told my brotherr in law and he is devastated. I need to be strong for him and hopefully bring him to christ and also change my life for christ. I want to be a good example to my family. My affair is secret so im trying to make amends. I have nobody to talk to. I really want my brother in law to remain a good friend to me and i need to work on my own marriage. Please advise me. God blessings to you xxx

Thank you for the simple yet to the point message. It is actually encouraging and reassuring that we have not vered off to do a lot of things to live for the Lord Jesus. This has really cleared off a lot of confusion and hypocricy for me. Thanks again and The Lord Jesus bless you.
