I Will Live For You

It will get rough to follow You
but I won’t give in
no matter what the cost may be
I will live for You
Though it might get hard, You are all I need
Life lived is one completely surrendered to You
so what else can I strive for
Nothing worth having comes without struggles
So I will press on with joy
knowing that what i strive for is the greatest thing to do
…that is to die to myself and find life in you
It will get rough to follow you
but I won’t give in
No matter what the cost may be
I will live for you
Things of this world are lost, broken or stolen
here one day, gone the next
So why should I spend my life working for such things
when I can strive for something that is eternal
a life surrender to Christ is a life truly lived
Through Your example, I’ve decided to live life Your way
Though you were the King of kings, with all life under your control
You lived Your life for me…
How does that work?…I do not understand…
But what I can do is commit my life to You in return
So I will live for You
This is true fulfillment, and a joy comes from it that lasts
through and through.
