Ephesians 2:8-9

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast.”

This is a good scripture to remind ourselves to keep our hearts in check. If we keep this in our hearts, we should never come across “mightier than thou”. Although, be careful not to take it to the extreme that we don’t have to do anything for Christ; we do. Action is the fruit of faith, not the source. But faith without action is dead; just like a tree that doesn’t bear fruit.

I hope this scripture can speak to you today, and stay fresh in your hearts.

In God’s love and grace.

I hear Christians from time to time talk down about “lost people” as if they’ve forgotten that at one time they were also a lost person. We must strive to not be like the Pharasee who prayed to God, “Thank you that I’m not like that tax collector.. a sinner…”

We were all lost at first, and each Christian has a story of how God pulled them out of their sin. We need to always remember that without Christ, we are nothing… and keep this attitude when dealing with people who do not yet have Faith.
