What would it look like if, as leaders, we focused less on the things that make our churches entertaining and more on making disciples? What if church looked like this…

Hey Tony, thanks for sharing that. Lately God has really challenged me with His teaching on prayer and about having true faith in his will and power, your stories are truly inspiring.

Hey everyone, I couldn’t access the video here and i haven’t yet read much stuff from this blog so i don’t know if i am doubling up, but i felt the need to share what i have been learning. You remember all those stories in Acts? Miracles were worked, and thousands of people got baptised in a day. The Spirit was everywhere, and compelled many to do amazing things. The power of God was so evident. I believe strongly that that is not meant to be just a thing of the past, that is an example of how the church should be today, however we have become so lukewarm and complacent that a stagnant church is all too often accepted (in many 1st world instances anyway). We have become used to a church where defeat, setbacks in ministry and habitual sin are accepted as troubles that should be tolerated as just part of the Christian life, but God has promised us victory so many times in Scripture!

    Psalm 60:12
With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

    James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    Mark 16:15-18, Psalm 91:5-12, Romans 8:2-6, Isaiah 40:29-31, Psalm 84:11-12, Psalm 118:15 to name a few.

We have no excuse to not be “out there” or to be only half in to Jesus’ ministry, he has predestined us and called us out from the world (Ephesians 1:11) so that we may serve his perfect will (Matthew 28:19), and he has/will provide(d) us with everything we need to do this (2 Peter 1:3-4). These references are just the few i could find in a short time, i hope you can find more 😉

Always praying for all of you and the others in the church, God bless you and may you be bold in sharing your faith to those around you and in reaching out to “all nations”. <3

    Hi everyone,

My name is Tony and I’m a friend of the Jansen family here in Boise.I have some great testimonies to share with all of you!

1.) 4 weeks ago we saw a lady completely healed of breast cancer! She came up to me in a healing line and I told her that Jesus had already carried her cancer.( ISAIAH 53) .I placed my hands on her and commanded the cancer to die
in the name of Jesus.I just saw her in church last week and the doctor gave her a clean bill of health! Cancer gone! Praise Jesus for the authority he has entrusted us with as disciples.

2.) 2 months ago a close friend of mine lost his job and he was facing a investigation from his employer. If that was not
bad enough someone in his family accused him of abuse and he was now facing a second police investigation. You can imagine how scared he was.The Father spoke to me to
meet with him right away to show him James 4:7 and James 3:16.The strife that the enemy was bringing him was going to kill him if I didn’t act quick.I sat him down for coffee and showed him how to resist these attacks and stop the strife.I then rebuked the enemy off of him and his family and I praised the Lord and thanked him in advance for the deliverance out of these problems.Fast forward to today. Both investigations were dropped and his new business is flourishing!! When you do what the word says and have intimacy with the Father these are the results you get.Praise Jesus.

3.) A customer of mine had a very bad year in his business
last year.I was speaking with him on the phone last month and I told him that it was not God’s will for his finances to be
hurt like this.I showed him how to receive God’s best.I prayed over the phone with him standing on Matthew 18 19-20.We thanked the Lord for a massive increase in his business and stayed in agreement on this passage of scripture.Over the next couple of weeks he started to get phone calls and emails from dormant clients that he had not spoken to for over a year! God had totally restored his business.I spoke to him 2 days ago and he is still getting more and more calls! Just to show all of you how big our Father is, these clients are going to result in about 5 million
dollars worth of revenue for him.WOW.

Remember brothers and sisters.Talk is cheap.
    “Heal the Sick,Raise the Dead,Cast out Devils,Preach
the Good News”.This is God’s will for every born again believer.

    Amen, Travis.

    One example from this Season:
Most of our attention during this Season is focused inside the box, inside the four walls of our church and our home. …

But…What would this Christmas look like if every follower of Jesus Christ prepared his heart to share this Story with one other person who is outside the box?

This video gave me goosebumps. This is something that I believe should be the key focus on all of our lives…. Go!
So many churches and organizations are stuck on the “come and see” approach to bring others into the church, and not enough on the “go and tell” to making disciples. This is true for most of the believers that I encounter, and ashamedly in myself as well. It is easier to say, “hey, come and check out what God has to offer” and hope that something the pastor of teacher has to say will break down barriers to the heart of the individual. We do not want to offend, though it is a lesson that Christ Himself practiced on a daily basis. We live in an “I’m ok, you’re ok” society where one’s personal view of God is enough to make it, but what if they are wrong… what if we let those opportunities pass day after day to love God by loving others enough to offend their personal views and beliefs. Church has become a social club, where it seems to be a requirement that we “join” the organization… but why? Why can’t I participate in fellowship with others who call on the Name of Jesus Christ in my community because they “belong” to another church without fear of being questioned by those in the church that I belong? We are all, after all, “one” flock… not many. It is pride that says “we” have the complete truth… speaking of denominations and/or different churches. I would love to see the day that we all band together, in complete unity, to make disciples in all the world…. and when we stop focusing on our “building up of one’s self, or one’s organization” and fixing our eyes on the Author and Finisher or our faith, to those things that He would have us “Go” and “Do”!!!!
